Led Walking Programme

August and September 2020 Walking Programme

The Trustees are pleased to announce the restarting of the Valeways Guided Walk Programme. A Covid-19 assessment has been written that will be used alongside the usual Walk Leader's assessment to  provide a safe walking experience.

Where possible we advise you should also:
  • avoid touching surfaces with your hands, consider wearing gloves.
  • consider using alternative routes that do not pass through gardens or farm yards where social distancing may be difficult or the possibility of entering an isolation area.
  • consider avoiding popular locations and busy times of day if you can.



The Valeways Guided Walks are designed to support the health and wellbeing of residents in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Boot Health Walks - Coffee Shop Strollers Walks up to 1 hour. No stiles, steps or steep inclines.

BootBoot Progression Walks up to 2 hours. Some stiles, steps or steep inclines.

BootBootBoot Extended Walks up to 3 hours. Many stiles, steps or steep inclines. Bring drink and a snack.

dementia logoThis sign indicates a Dementia Friendly Walk.


Be prepared - In rural areas you may encounter stiles, uneven surfaces, steep sections, soft wet ground.

Remember - Appropriate footwear and clothing, children to be accompanied by an adult, park responsibly, follow the countryside code.
