The
Millennium Heritage Trail
|
|
The
Millennium Heritage Trail provides a complete walking circuit
right around the Vale of Glamorgan, the route being
carefully designed to link much of the best of the area’s
scenic and historic locations. It begins just outside the Vale
at the Museum of Welsh Life, St Fagans. Just over 70 miles
further on (including a few spur routes to points of interest)
it finishes at the village of Peterston-super-Ely not far from
the start. With careful planning of accommodation and transport
it offers the possibility of a fascinating week-long walking
holiday. Alternatively it provides a wide choice of separate
linear walks of any length in any order. |
|
The Trail is waymarked with distinctive
silver and purple discs .
For walkers’ information
and enjoyment there is a guide pack consisting of a colourfully
illustrated descriptive book together with separate sheets
of directions and maps for the Trail’s sixteen sections.
The guides are available for £7.99 at local bookshops
in Barry, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major and Penarth as well as
from some tourist information offices in Cardiff and the Vale.
Alternatively they can be obtained by directly from Valeways
for £8.49 (inc P&P) click
