Valeways is a registered charity in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales working to facilitate and promote country walking, hiking and rambling in the Vale through improving and maintaining footpaths throughout the Vale countryside in the Vale of Glamorgan. In addition to Valeways Millennium Heritage Trail long distance walk there are many circular walks throughout the Vale country side and along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.

Valeways also arranges easy walks with a walk leader for new walkers wishing to explore this lovely part of South Wales with others.

If you are rambler, walker or hiker from Cowbridge, Barry, Penarth, Cardiff, Llantwit Major or anywhere in Glamorgan then this is your natural area to walk and explore. Whether your interests are in serious hikes, easy walks, walking with the family, historical walks or just strolling from pub to pub then this site has something for you.

We have opportunities for volunteers to help us maintain and promote footpaths across the Vale Of Glamorgan. This provides amenity for residents and tourists, promotes a healthy lifestyle and raises awareness of our fascinating environment with its ancient burial chambers, roman remains, medieval churches and castles, unusual geology and varied wildlife habitat in this part of South Wales.
