Walk Detail (this summary
should enable the walker to navigate the route using
OS Explorer 151)
Starting from Wenvoe Church follow road to Poundfield Farm. Path through Wenvoe Wood then north-west to Lodge House Farm. Westwards along path round Coed Nant-bran to join road just south of Tinkinswood (if desired, access to Dyffryn Gardens can be gained at nearby North Lodge). To continue along the main route go 1/4 mile north along road and turn south-west along path (not marked as public right of way on OS map)to "Long Cairn" (Tinkinswood burial chamber). Path south to Dyffryn. Road east to "Long Cairn" (St Lythans burial chamber). Path eastwards past Goldsland Wood to Burdonshill then north to return to starting point. |
