Valeways

Volunteering

Valeways works in conjunction with people in the community to enable and promote access to the Vale of Glamorgan. We exist by involving and supporting people of every age and ability in all sections of our work from practical clearance of routes and footpath installations to indoor administrative duties. We provide support, training, life long skills and personal development to our expansive range of volunteers.

A wide variety of tasks and interests are offered depending upon areas of interest and abilities. Primarily these are:

  • The clearance of overgrown vegetation and litter from the footpaths.
  • The light maintenance of existing Valeways routes.
  • Leading walks on our regular and popular community led walking programme.
  • Photography.
  • IT support.
  • Administrative help.
  • Project management.
  • Trustee.

We would be delighted to hear from anybody who shares our passion in the creation, maintenance and enjoyment of the Vale of Glamorgan.

Walk & Clear

Joining Valeways on a Walk & Clear is a fantastic way to explore the countryside, keep fit and ensure that existing Valeways routes are useable all year round.

Walk & Clear sessions take place every Tuesday 10:30am - 1:00pm. This is a flexible opportunity with details of tasks sent by email each week.
