The Millennium Heritage Trail

... a leisurely walk through 6,000 years of beauty, culture and history in the picturesque Vale of Glamorgan.

The Millennium Heritage Trail covers a distance of over 100km. The trail takes in sweeping panoramic vistas at its northern edge, through a variety of beautiful landscapes further south, before finally meeting the sea at the southern-most point of Wales.

The trail is split into 16 easy to follow sections, each of which can be walked within a few hours. The whole route is shown on the O.S. Explorer 151 “Cardiff & Bridgend” map. The surroundings are diverse, often spectacular and steeped in history. This guide book aims to give you a taste of one of Wales' best kept secrets and will hopefully inspire you to explore, enjoy and better understand your surroundings. Points of interest mentioned in the text are highlighted on the accompanying maps.
